Performance
For 2020, the Outback offers two enhanced engine options to offer greater capability and performance than ever before. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine now produces 182-horsepower, up from 175-horsepower in previous years. You can also now opt for an available 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Boxer engine that produces 260-horsepower. All models continue to come with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and 8.7-inches of ground clearance, allowing you to tackle poor weather conditions and off road terrain with the same confidence and ease as your summer morning commute to Omaha.
Technology
One of the largest changes for the 2020 Subaru Outback comes from the Starlink infotainment system. All models come with a Starlink multimedia system. Base models come with a 7-inch touchscreen display, while all other trim levels get an all-new 11.6-inch vertical touchscreen display that easily functions more like a tablet. With standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all models, you can easily stay in contact and control of your mobile device on the go.
Safety
Every 2020 Subaru Outback model comes with an Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system with pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and more. You'll also a bevy of available safety features like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, LED steering responsive headlights, and an all-new DriverFocus â„¢ distraction mitigation system.
