New Subaru Ascent in Bellevue NE

Subaru Ascent

The New Three-Row 2019 Subaru Ascent is the Perfect SUV for Omaha Area Families

Subaru has long made family-friendly vehicles of varying sizes, but with the exception of one short-lived attempt, it's never delivered in the full-sized SUV segment. Until now, that is. The upcoming 2019 Subaru Ascent kicks off the next-generation lineup from our favorite brand, expanding your options to include a huge, eight-passenger, three-row SUV. The Ascent will have the kinds of features and qualities you'd expect out of Subaru - standard AWD, strong safety features and much more - to go along with its own unique characteristics. Visit our Bellevue, NE Subaru dealer serving Omaha, Papillion, Plattsmouth and Council Bluffs today to find out when the new 2019 Ascent will become available.

Safety and Performance

The standard Subaru EyeSight suite is a huge bonus in the new Ascent, giving you the kinds of driver aids that aren't a distraction, but offer welcome alerts and sometimes even automatic braking when needed. Those safety features combine nicely with the standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, which may not be completely necessary here in the Omaha area, which tends to stay pretty dry, but will be a huge boost in safety when the roads do get wet, icy or generally more slippery than normal.

A unique way Subaru keeps its vehicles safe, and the upcoming Ascent will be no exception, is the placement of the BOXER engines under the hood. While most vehicles have engines off-set, Subaru places theirs right in the middle, which means in the event of a crash directed mostly toward one corner of the vehicle - the most common type of frontal collision - the driver or front seat passenger will be better protected from the engine's force toward the back of the vehicle.

In the Ascent, you'll have the 2.4-liter four-cylinder BOXER engine, directing 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard, and will help keep your fuel economy as high as possible for a larger vehicle.

Interior and Technology

All the tech features, from Bluetooth to smartphone integration to your entertainment apps are easy to use, and the hands-free calling functionality and steering-wheel-mounted controls allow you to safely use your systems while you're on the go. Inside, the Ascent has seating for eight, though you can select optional second-row "captain's" chairs that reduce your passenger capacity to seven. The total 72.6 cubic feet of cargo space is achieved with the easily adjustable second- and third-row seats. Perhaps most astonishingly, the Ascent is complete with 19 cupholders throughout.

2019 Subaru Ascent Trims and Options

The Ascent is going to be offered in four trim levels, with the base edition providing the most generous set of standard features of any Subaru model. Along with standard AWD, the Ascent's starting trim will include a touchscreen interface, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, four total USB ports throughout, and a conservation rearview mirror. Unlike other Subaru models that add the Subaru EyeSight suite in higher trims or as a standalone package, the Ascent comes standard with many of the features included in that package. This means you get forward collision warning and mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and trailer sway warning all standard in the base level of the Ascent.

Higher trims of the Ascent will allow you to add features like heated mirrors and front seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, more safety features like blind-spot monitoring and lane-change assist, larger wheels, leather upholstery and much more. Whatever you can imagine needing in a full-sized SUV for your family travels, you can bet it's an option in the new Ascent. When it arrives later this summer, we'll be sure to go over all your options so you can have the setup that makes the most sense for your Omaha area driving.
