The Subaru Forester, like all Subaru models, features the Subaru Boxer Engine.  Starting at $20,295, the 2.5x is equipped with a 2.5 - liter DOHC 16-valve Boxer 4 that delivers 170 hp with 174 lb-ft of torque. The Forester stands out in the compact SUV segment because of the standard Symmetrical All-Wheel drive, not to mention the standard Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) or traction control system. The 2011 EPA fuel economy ratings for the 2012 Forester 2.5x are 20 mpg city/ 26 mpg highway and that coupled with a recommended fuel of 87 octane regular unleaded means convenience and savings to our customers.
